A simple but effective approach

The saying "We're not out to change the world, just make it better" is the philosophy of Pear Consulting.  You don't need people to change your business, just someone who can work with you to make it better.

When Pear Consulting began in 2004, we found clients who wanted what we call "More and Less".  More productivity with less staff, more output with less input, more efficiency with less effort.  We worked with them to analyze what they needed to achieve and then developed processes, structure and programs to help them get there.  Here are some of our clients  accomplishments:

• Created a new organizational structure with better reporting and less strain on key management.  We reduced the number of reporting people for each manager, created new departments that had more authority where needed, and created a new division that could move quicker and react faster to the changing economy.  We accomplished this without adding any staff.
• Helped design a Project management system that could track multiple housing and land development projects from land acquisition, through entitlement, design, development, and sales.  Using Microsoft Project Server with a web interface and an organized system of tasks, we are able to provide concise reporting across all projects and track resources and schedules to see the impact from one project to another.
• We took a company that was inputting data three and four times because of diverse software programs and designed a single program that improved on all functionality of the previous programs and automatically exported data into their accounting system.  They now have more data with less input and better reporting.
• We worked with multiple contractors to help design a construction estimating program that could be marketed to other contractors.  The program had to have equal features to other programs on the market but with less keystrokes and simpler design.  The program should be ready to release in mid summer 2006.
